One element of winter that I really enjoy in Fairbanks, Alaska is the frosted trees of the boreal forest that surrounds my home and office. Depending on temperatures and humidity, the frost can form in large clusters, and mix that with a little light and color and you have a very beautiful scene. This week had days of spectacular beauty and I stepped out for a quick grab shot.

Man, looks so like what I see out of my window…! As usual, you captured the essence of nature!

Greg,
That should look extremely close to what you see out of your window!
Patrick, I have been amiss in telling you Happy New Year, and thanks once again for your willingness to share such gifts of nature through your talents – to those of us who no longer experience them face-to-face. Blessings abundantly,
Carolyn, Thank you for your kind comments.
