Inside the calendar

I’ve been a resident of Fairbanks, Alaska for almost 40 years now, and while the city is notoriously famous for its long, dark and cold winters, it is also a land of unique light and natural beauty. The Interior of Alaska is home to abundant wildlife, mountain slopes, tundra and boreal forest expanses, and many winding rivers. I first published this calendar in 2004 to visually portray the region’s beauty to the many residents that call it home. The calendar celebrates the natural backdrop of this sub-Arctic landscape and features large photos with small inset pictures and thoughtful quotes.
