Grizzly bears are powerful creatures holding the top position in the food chain for terrestrial Alaska mammals. They roam the alpine tundra feeding on animals, plants and berries. Contrary to what many believe, they are primarily vegetarian in their dietary consumption, but are true omnivores. Plants, meat and berries make up the foods busily consumed during the summer months.
